Mark I. Levy

We are shocked and saddened by the death of Mark Levy, Silliman ’71. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Mark I. Levy, on Thursday, April 30, 2009, of Bethesda, MD. Son of Kenneth Warren Levy of Highland Park, IL and the late Arleen Langhaus Levy; beloved husband of Judith Levy of Bethesda; loving father of Elizabeth Levy of New York, NY and Mitchell Levy of Bethesda; brother of Michael Levy of Littleton, CO and Susan Halpern of Chesterfield, MO. ““Mark, Bob Brookhiser, and I were law partners at Howrey & Simon in the mid-1990s. I always thought it interesting that three members of our class found their way to the same law firm. Mark was a brilliant appellate lawyer. He had a perfect grasp of appellate strategy and was a gifted writer. He was widely recognized as a part of a small and elite group of lawyers who were truly specialists in handling Supreme Court cases.”
