Welcome, Yale ’71 Classmates!
Dear Yale College Class of 1971 members, families, and friends,
As you probably know, Yale ’71ers were trailblazers in many respects. Our class includes the first women to graduate from Yale College. We were the first to take meals in Commons without mandatory coats and ties. We were among the first classes composed under modernized inclusive admissions guidelines.
SPECIAL NOTE FEBRUARY 2021 — We are currently upgrading this site and any submissions will be delayed until that is complete. Thanks for your patience — and please stay tuned for our new look!

Yale College Class of 1971 — 25th Reunion
True to form, Yale ’71 has been redefining the online community experience for Yale classes. And you can benefit by taking two easy steps. As a Class member, you’re invited to register for full site access — as nearly half of our Classmates already have. You’ll gain entry to private areas (Photo Galleries, In Memoriam, Online Community, online discussions, and the 45th Anniversary Class Survey).
Then take a few minutes to complete or update your online community profile. The Class of 1971 Community is free to use for registered Class members, always available wherever you find a computer, and updatable as life events occur. It has its own internal messaging system, so you can reach your classmates easily. About 20 percent of your classmates have contributed to the Community. If you don’t yet have a profile, please read “Contributing Your Community Profile” under the Frequently Asked Questions. Please include a current head photo with your bio; it’s so nice see how nicely we’ve “matured” since Yale!

The Class Survey achieved a whopping response rate of 65%. Thanks to those of you who contributed.
-
The Classbook also had a terrific response rate. Now we’re in edit mode so that books can be shipped to all Classmates in the spring.

REGISTER for the reunion (details to come)
Yale 71.org has been in continuous operation since September 2006. Though it is designed and maintained by a core group of classmates, it’s a resource for all of us to develop. As more of us contribute to it, the richer it becomes. We invite you to explore the site, have fun reminiscing — then send along material you’d like to publish (press releases, family news, photos, essays…whatever).
Best regards,
Andy Kaufman (Class Secretary), Bill Primps (Class Treasurer), and the website team: Tim Powell (Class VP of Technology) and Rick Cech (Photo Editor and Survey Director).
