John T. Toth

February 8, 2008

Fellow WYBC-er John (JT) Toth died February 8, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. After graduation in 1971 he was an engineer at ABC Television in New York.

He left broadcasting after four years, going to American Express. He later worked in various information technology management roles at Satellite Business Systems, Lehman Brothers (where he met his wife of twenty years, Carol), Walsh Greenwood, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Deloitte & Touche, and Merck.

JT is survived by Carol, his children, Bill, who is a sophomore at Yale, and Danielle, who is a high school senior at the Peddie School, and his sister, Marlene May. As JT’s obituary in the NY Times so eloquently said, “JT will be remembered for his wit and wisdom, his devotion to his family and for being the ‘goodest’ person we know.”—Harry Levitt
